I live in Indiana pay at the heart of the Amish community. I drive d birth the thoroughfargon and see Amish buggies out and around or go grocery store shopping and see the Amish there. I have always wondered about the Amish Community and have realized since moving back to Indiana, virtually a stratum ago, that I really do non know much about them. The Amish community is a secret community that has all of their own beliefs and systems in which they run their lives under. These beliefs are so different from that of ours. I plan to inform you as well as myself more about these customs so as to have a better understanding my own neighbors.
The Amish came into being in 1693 when a group of Swiss Mennonites take by Jacob Amman broke from the main body of Mennonites oer differences related to the celebration of Communion (a remembrance of Christs last mortal meal) while Amman wished to celebrate Communion twice per year the Mennonites celebrated it once per year.(Bloomfield, 2012).
