Invisible Children For more than than two decades, a guerilla footing forces has disrupted life in northern Uganda during its insurgence against the institution of Uganda and the countrys president Museveni. This guerilla army, now known as the Lords Resistance Army, or LRA, is led by Joseph Kony. Kony was born in northern Uganda some 1964. He was the eldest son of farmers, but it is unclear how many siblings he had. When confronted, he often resorted to his fists to resolve conflict and it is said he was surround in school about his size and intelligence. When Lakwena was exiled, Kony, who claimed to be Lakwenas cousin, took control of the rebel forces and over snip evolved the group into the LRA.
