This poesy is panoptic of sadness and desperation that includes imagery. It is a clear poem that makes random references to death along with destruction and corpses. Disease and darkness allusions describes the different trials that many had make sense intercepture in the West. There was drought and various diseases that occurred. The welcome down is slightly somber mentioning angels and paradise. However later in the poem, he goes on to depict hell in the last trace of a section saying, black rain, fire, and hell will bring out. Interestingly enough he could be comparing anything to heaven and hell because the world is full of contradictions in his opinion. This poem is full of despair as well as one of vivid imagery. The third section supports the theory somewhat that the west is mistakable to evil because of the diseases that come with the west. The author uses several descriptive literary terms throughout this poem to further influence the reader. The poem was interesting in itself because of the way that it uses its form of wording. The author defiantly wants to make it clear about what he uses and how he conveys his meaning to his audience. The final section seems to come to terms with the west wind.
