Observation techniques are important, however I have realised, what we past do with the information gathered and how we extend this is as evenly important. The links to working alongside the Early Years footing Stage will be noted and also how the appointment with parents discharge influence teaching and learning outcomes. Understanding stages of sister development are also fundamental to our teaching practises as this is the main underpinning framework to guide us.

Many theorists like Susan Isaacs and Siraj-Blatchford comply about the importance of recording observations. By patient audience to the talk of even little children, and watching what they do…we can wish their wishes, see their pictures and think their thoughts (Isaacs, 1971, pg.15). This is also believed by Montessori that by watching children we can learn from them and reflecting on the observations we can witness what they need themselves and also what the environment is or is not providing for them. I agree in other aspects of Montessoris ideas that most of the obstacles she encountered piece of music law-abiding were not with the children but with the adults working with them and the environment.



A haul of the time we look at the behaviour and think what is injure with the child but dont look at the setting. The setting impacts on the observation, surroundings which we provided for them and the activities we expect them to enjoy or learn from. The design of the adult is also essential to take up when undertaking observations. Planning the observation with an objective and what will our role in it is. Are we going to be actively pertain? How will the child react to my being there and observing?
